"More importantly, such companies demonstrate that it is possible to work with other local companies, and that business in Stara Zagora works in sync." Step by step, Stara Zagora is starting to become the center of the automotive sector, you are another big company that invests here, and this is the reason why the Municipality of Stara Zagora is helping as much as it can", the deputy mayor also noted in his speech.
He thanked the executive director of DZU Sasho Saykov for the wonderful cooperation over the years and expressed the opinion that the progress that is happening is thanks to him.
How 25 years ago, one of the largest electronics plants in Bulgaria - DZU AD, was faced with the danger of going bankrupt, Sasho Saykov recalled in his address. "At this difficult moment, the large Hungarian company Videoton took an extremely bold step and acquired the main share of the ownership of the struggling Stara Zagorsk plant. In this privatization, the most important thing was not the building stock, nor the technologies, the machines that DZU had at its disposal at that time, the most important thing was the workers and employees of the plant, their experience, intellectual potential and desire to work", recalled the executive director.
"Videoton" has taken over the plant with 700 staff, which has now grown to 1250. "We are currently located on the territory of VEAS Bulgaria, part of "Videoton Bulgaria Holding", which is mainly engaged in printed circuit boards and production of products in the conventional electronics", Sasho Saykov explained to those present.
"The fact that we can celebrate the 25th anniversary of the cooperation between DZU and "Videoton" means that this is a successful cooperation, that "Videoton" has managed to become an important and very effective part of Bulgaria's industry", determined the ambassador of Hungary in Bulgaria His Excellency Miklos Borosh. He gave assurances that the Hungarian government is ready to continue supporting the activities of the two companies for the benefit of both countries.
