Invest Stara Zagora celebrated five years since its establishment with the forum "United for the Future - 5 years of investments and partnerships", dedicated to the active dialogue between local authorities and business.
At the event, Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev made an important assessment, emphasizing that over the past five years, investments worth over 700 million leva have been attracted and more than 4,000 jobs have been created. The municipality is currently actively negotiating with several more companies for projects worth nearly 500 million leva and the potential for an additional 1,000 jobs - a clear signal that interest in Stara Zagora continues to grow.Our focus remains consistent - to build a stable and functioning business ecosystem. Our joint work with the Zagore Industrial Zone is among the factors that make Stara Zagora a strategic point for production, logistics and development of high-tech industries.
In 2025, we held a series of sectoral meetings that outlined the needs of local businesses and led to the creation of new initiatives, including the Production Week for students in grades 5–7. We continued the development of one of the most significant HR events – WorkIn Stara Zagora, which this year attracted over 1,100 participants. In parallel, we presented the investment potential of the region in England, Spain, Italy, Germany and Austria, expanding Stara Zagora’s international presence. Our constant dialogue with chambers of commerce and industry contributes to even broader visibility and new strategic collaborations.
The “United for the Future” forum provided feedback from businesses and outlined priorities for the future - development of public-private partnerships, sustainable economic growth, expansion of industrial infrastructure and preparation of initiatives for 2026.
