The implementation of the “Industrial Park Zagore – Elenino” project is expected to attract over BGN 500 million in investments and create more than 1,000 new jobs, officials announced at the groundbreaking ceremony. The initiative is considered a key driver for the economic and industrial development of the region.
The total investment in infrastructure and communications for the park amounts to BGN 17.3 million, of which BGN 14 million is provided through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan under the “AttractInvestBG” program. The funding is supported by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the Bulgarian Development Bank.
The construction activities include comprehensive development of road, water, and sewage infrastructure, reconstruction of the municipal road SZR-1190 leading to Hristiyanovo village, and creation of parking areas for electric vehicles, trucks, and buses. The goal is to establish a sustainable investment environment with fully prepared industrial sites.
“With this project, we are not just expanding Industrial Zone Zagore; we are creating real conditions for investments and long-term economic growth. Over 330,000 sq. m of the area have already been allocated to investors,” said Radoslav Tanev, CEO of Industrial Zone Zagore AD.
Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Krasimir Yakimov, highlighted that the development of the zone is a prime example of successful public-private partnership. He also noted that under the same program, 9 additional industrial parks are being developed with total funding close to BGN 200 million.
The infrastructure project has been assigned to the joint venture DZSD DLV SP GROMA, with design by Bulproekt EOOD – Stara Zagora and construction supervision by Augusta Consult EOOD.
The completion deadline for the project is one year.
