WorkIn Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria’s largest HR event, opened today at the State Opera. The two-day event features talks on new technologies, talent and creativity, incorporating innovation into everyday work, and developing a personal brand.
Radostin Tanev, Deputy Mayor responsible for Transport, Ecology, Investments and Green Transition, officially opened the event: “Thank you to everyone who joined the forum and placed their trust in us. We know how much hard work and effort have gone into making it a success. The number of companies and participants grows every year, showing that we must keep going.”
The Deputy Mayor invited the Department of Investments, Energy Efficiency and Green Transition team onto the stage and warmly thanked them for organising the event, which has attracted increasing numbers of people for four consecutive years. The audience applauded Rositsa Raykova, Head of the Department; Veronika Petkova and Mariana Perchemliyeva, Chief Experts; Ani Karagyozova and Penka Doneva, Senior Experts; and Kristin Kostadinova and Monika Mintova, Junior Experts.
“My sincere thanks go to the team. We will continue to work hard because we believe that Stara Zagora must be Bulgaria’s industrial heart. It is important that our children choose to stay in Stara Zagora,” Radostin Tanev added.
Commemorative statuettes were presented to the event’s main sponsors—United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), Smart Solar and Sunotec—in appreciation of their support.
The forum began with an inspiring performance by Kristiyan Yankulov, who is also a speaker on the first day. Performers from the Theatre of Fire and Shadows joined him, enhancing the atmosphere of his songs.
The hosts, Zhelyazko Dinev from Stara Zagora Television and Hristina Hristova, presenter of BNT 1’s morning programme “The Day Begins”, also contributed to the memorable opening with an original sketch depicting a modern job interview.
Following the opening, Deputy Mayors Radostin Tanev and Svetoslav Kolev, responsible for Finance, Budget and Economy, visited every stand to greet company representatives and share their impressions of the forum.
According to the organisers, more than 2,500 visitors and over 100 exhibitors have participated in the career forum across its editions to date.
The event will continue throughout today and tomorrow, 4 April, with engaging and informative talks and productive meetings between employers and visitors.
Today’s speakers are Kristiyan Yankulov, presenting “Creativity as a Profession: Opportunities in the Digital World”; Petar Ivanov, with “Adding AI as a New Team Member: The Latest Generation”; and Georgi Parvanov, with “How to Build a Personal Brand in the Job Market”.
