The city has made significant progress in several key categories, which is clear evidence of the effective strategy of Invest Stara Zagora and the targeted efforts to build a sustainable and competitive economic environment.
- Climbing by one position – from 5th to 4th place in the category “Small cities with clear strategies for attracting investments”.
- Retaining the top positions in “Cost efficiency”, which confirms the region as one of the most competitive investment destinations in Europe.
The difference in 2025 is that Stara Zagora is ahead of all other ranked Bulgarian regions in this category, which shows that it offers some of the best conditions for business.
- A big jump in the “FDI Strategy” category for small regions – from 10th to 3rd place.
