The advantages of Stara Zagora in terms of location, availability of industrial areas, qualified workforce and administrative support for business were presented yesterday by Radostin Tanev. The Deputy Mayor with the portfolio of “Transport, Ecology, Investments and Green Transition” participated in an event organized by Capital Industry Forward. It was the culmination of events organized and held by the newspaper “Capital” and its focus was the industry and business in Bulgaria, engaged in production.
Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev appeared as a panelist together with Petar Ivanov, Executive Director of Industrial&Logistics park Burgas and Plamen Panchev, Executive Director of Trakia Economic Zone. He actively promoted the advantages of Stara Zagora and the region, as well as the “fast track” provided by the local executive authority for entrepreneurs. The Deputy Mayor also noted the role of the Municipality of Stara Zagora in promoting talents through the creation of the Professional High School of Computer Science and Mathematical Analysis "Prof. Minko Balkanski" and the new student specialties at the Thracian University as a response to the needs of local business. "Good cooperation between institutions and investors is to achieve our most important goal - prospects for the people in the region", summarized the Deputy Mayor.
"The municipality, which dictates an investment map with two consecutive awards for the Municipality with the most investments for 2023 and 2024, awarded by the Bulgarian Investment Agency and a municipality that has ambitions to become the first Green Energy Hub in the Balkans", Radostin Tanev also emphasized.
He also recalled the presence of a built industrial zone, fully completed in terms of communications - the great advantage of our city.
The event in Sofia yesterday brought together representatives of institutions, industrial and manufacturing companies, suppliers of materials and services, companies offering technological solutions for the industry, digital entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium-sized businesses, and consultants.
