The electronics factory of "VEAS Bulgaria" in Stara Zagora - one of the four companies of the Hungarian "VIDEOTON HOLDING" ZRt. in the country, is today visited by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Stara Zagora Radostin Tanev. The occasion was a strategic investment in high-tech production in Bulgaria.
The event brought together the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary in Sofia Dr. Miklós Boros, the Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Development of Hungary Katalin Bihori and the Executive Director of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) Gabor Yenei.
They met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "VT DZU" Zoltan Horvat on the occasion of the handover of the investment for capacity expansion and implementation of production solutions in VEAS Bulgaria, implemented with the support of the Hungarian state.
"The Municipality of Stara Zagora will always support investors who bring added value with their activities. Our mission is to support the environment, to be useful to both business and people. "Videoton Bulgaria" is expanding its production and is dynamically establishing itself and establishing itself on the market," Deputy Mayor Radostin Tanev pointed out to the guests during the meeting.
Over the past 2 years, "VIDEOTON Bulgaria" has invested a total of nearly 9 million euros in production infrastructure and modernization of equipment in all four local companies in the group, including the electronics company, and additional activities are currently underway to renovate the base and increase the efficiency of various production facilities in Stara Zagora. For the investment and significant contribution to the industrial development of the city and the region, in 2024 "VIDEOTON Bulgaria" was awarded the "Municipal Investor of the Year" award in the "Large Municipality" category by the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria.
