A Dutch company in the municipality of Stara Zagora with recognition as a class B investor

The Municipality of Stara Zagora and the Bulgarian Investment Agency (BAI) presented a class B investor certificate to the Dutch automotive company Nedschroef, which chose to invest in the region. The ceremony took place at the company's plant, where the representatives of the municipality and the agency gave a tour of the production facilities, showing the importance of the investment for the local economy. The class B investor certificate is issued to companies that make significant investments in Bulgaria, meeting certain criteria related to the size of the investment and the creation of new jobs.

At the moment, Stara Zagora municipality (as a coordinating institution), together with other municipalities from the region, the regional administration and interested parties, is working on the project "Preparation of a Strategy for the Development of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Digitization in the Stara Zagora Region and a Roadmap for its Implementation" , financed by the Technical Support Instrument to DG Reforms of the European Commission. The project aims to support the promotion of investments by presenting the favorable conditions that the district provides and the potential of the region for attracting investors and development and in particular industrial zones in the district such as "Zagore". The development of entrepreneurship, innovation and digitization in the area aims to develop the conditions for attracting investments in the region, and they, in turn, have a high potential to lead to the mitigation of negative demographic trends and the retention of the young population.

"Stara Zagora offers favorable conditions for business, thanks to the good infrastructure, highly qualified workforce and the administrative support we provide. We strive to create an environment that promotes long-term investments and facilitates companies in their growth and development," said Rositsa Raykova, Head of the "Investment, Energy Efficiency and Green Transition" Department at Stara Zagora Municipality.

The initiative is part of the wider strategy of the municipality to strengthen the competitiveness of the region and attract strategic investors.
